I believe the most critical, highly sought-after skills for any tech startup today don’t only come from a computer science background: they are high emotional intelligence and rigorous business risk management. Backed by a Diploma of Leadership and Management and ongoing studies in Accounting and Bookkeeping, I’ve trained in exactly these areas. From leading diverse workforces and managing business finance and risk, to developing critical thinking in others, I use this foundation every day to build a resilient, emotionally intelligent company culture.

My History

For the past 7 years, my leadership style has been pressure-tested in the community as a Region Manager and Unit Leader volunteering with Girl Guides Western Australia. If you want a masterclass in operational scaling, try coordinating 20 leaders and 200+ youth members! Leading volunteers relies purely on influence, shared vision, and deep stakeholder management, these are skills that translate perfectly to running the operations of a fast-paced startup.

I am deeply passionate about championing neurodiversity, advocating for gender equality and fostering environments where “no limits” ideas can thrive. I believe that people who think differently are the ones who change the world.

Outside of work and volunteering in my community, you’ll usually find me resetting in nature and hiking with my family or getting lost in a really good book.

At Betterprompt, our mission is simple: to unlock your potential to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently with artificial intelligence.

My focus is on the business, the risks, and most importantly: the people. Coming from a non-traditional tech background, I act as the operational engine of the company. I ensure that as our AI solutions scale, our business foundations, financial health, and company culture scale right alongside them.

Driving Business Operations: I manage the end-to-end operational frameworks that keep the business moving forward. By handling the logistics, strategy, and daily execution, I create the space for our tech team to focus purely on innovation.
Championing People & Culture: Tech is nothing without the minds behind it. I actively apply my formal training in emotional intelligence to foster a workplace where neurodiversity is celebrated and active belonging is the baseline. I am dedicated to fostering a culturally rich environment rooted in a deep respect for humanity and boundless curiosity.
Managing Risk & Finance: The AI landscape moves at lightning speed, which means rigorous risk management is non-negotiable. I spearhead our business risk strategies and oversee our financial health by putting my ongoing studies in Accounting and Bookkeeping to work so we can grow responsibly and sustainably.
Bridging the Human-Tech Gap: I leverage my years of community leadership and stakeholder management to ensure that every business decision we make is grounded in empathy, critical thinking, and human-centric values.

Girl Guides

Title:: Region Manager (Unit Leader, Volunteer)
Company:: Girl Guides Western Australia
Duration:: Aug 2023 – Present

If my Unit Leader role is about grassroots mentorship, my Region Manager role is about strategic operations and large-scale people leadership.
I lead a Region Team consisting of 20 volunteer Leaders, overseeing the growth, retention, and development programs for over 200 Youth Members. Leading a volunteer leadership team of this size requires a high level of emotional intelligence, strategic delegation, and a deeply innovative approach to problem-solving. It’s here that I truly cut my teeth on operational scaling and culture building.

Strategic Operations & Leadership: I spearhead the Region's strategic objectives, ensuring the successful delivery of the Australian Guide Program (AGP) across multiple Girl Guide Units. I facilitate region-wide meetings, drive growth strategies, and partner with community stakeholders to continually elevate the Guiding profile.
People, Culture & Succession Planning: You can't lead volunteers with a paycheck; you lead them with vision and EQ. I manage the induction, review, and continuous learning and development for our adult leaders. A huge focus of mine is succession planning, this entails empowering my team's individual talents so they can confidently step up and run their own Units.
Finance, Risk & Governance: Leaning heavily into my financial and business risk training, I proactively manage the Region’s budget, financial records, and state reporting. I also enforce rigorous risk management policies to ensure a healthy, safe, and fully compliant environment for hundreds of members and supporters.
Advocacy & "Brave Spaces": I act as a vocal advocate for girls and young women, working to break down gender barriers to leadership. Whether we are navigating challenging situations or building new community programs, my goal is to foster a resilient culture that challenges stereotypes and embraces "no limits" thinking.
